My next book, The Culture Turnaround, is out today!
I hope you’re doing well and gearing up for a restful holiday season. ⛄️
I’m so excited to share that my latest book project, The Culture Turnaround (9 Proven Ways to Create an Undeniable Culture), is out today!!
This book has been 20 years in the making, as both Adam and I (did I mention I have a co-author on this book? More on that in a minute…) have been focused on the power of creating a great culture on all of the teams we’ve been on over the years (sports, business, and family).
More details on the book below, but I learned early in my career not to bury the lead (or is it lede?), so in the hopes you might want to buy a copy to read over the holidays, you can do that here: Ripples.media/shop.
The “Before the Book” podcast
Adam and I recorded a podcast talking about the book and sharing stories about our past exploits trying to create great cultures. We’re pretty proud of the culture we helped create at Engauge, but we also talk about the importance of defining your family culture, how playing competitive team sports can inform how you build your team’s culture, and the importance of establishing your “weness” 🥸
That’s right, for the first time, I have a co-author!
I’ve always known that this book—focused on building an undeniable culture—would be an important addition to my book series, The Turnaround Leadership Series. If you’ve been following along, the first book focused on leading like an entrepreneur, the second on leading through a crisis, and the third on building a great team.
“Culture” makes an appearance in all of the first three books, but I knew the series needed a stand-alone book focused on this important topic.
As I sat down to write The Culture Turnaround earlier this year, it became pretty clear that Adam Albrecht (CEO of The Weaponry + author of What Does Your Fortune Cookie Say?) needed to be a part of helping me put it together. If you know Adam, you know he screams energy and passion (literally, I’ve heard him scream those words). Many of the elements I wanted to put in the book were things that we worked on together at Engauge from 2008 to 2013 (more on that story in this podcast episode). He’s also a really talented writer, so asking him to be a part of this project was a no-brainer.
I think the point I’m trying to make is that Adam and I put a lot of heart and soul into this book, and who couldn’t use a few tips on building a great culture? So please consider checking it out, and maybe tell your friends!
(Plus, Adam and I are available to share our stories in person if you’re looking for a guest speaker at your company. Just sayin’.)
I hope you’re happy,
I produce a podcast called Begin the Begin. I hope you'll consider subscribing. Here are the latest episodes:
