Hi friends, I hope by now you’ve been able to shake the January off of you. Yuck. I thought I would share some of my current favorite things. I’m always on the hunt for a new good book to read or a show to watch, or an app to use, so don’t be shy about sharing your favorites in the comments!
Email newsletters are amazing. It's weird to rediscover an old medium like that but it's my primary source of content anymore. Matt Yglesias has a newsletter called Slow Boring (politically center/left) but does a great job of diving really deep into different policy ideas and critiques. It's not entertaining (it is called Slow Boring) but I learn a lot.
And stick with Schitt's Creek. We loved it for the fact that we could kind of turn our brains off for the day and enjoy it. Got hooked on it during the early parts of COVID and it was a great decompression tool for Meg and I.
Definitely give Schitt's Creek another chance! It was slow in the beginning, but so good. I can't get Josh to re-watch it with me. We did finally get to watch Ted Lasso, which we really enjoyed! I want to watch The Morning Show next, now that we're on this trial run with Apple's streaming service.
Biggest question is was re-watching Lost worth it? Did it make any more sense the second time around??? :)

Books I would recommend;
The mountain is you by Brianna Wiest,
Ego is the enemy by Ryan Holiday, and,
Atomic Habits by James Clear.
Tv show I would recommend;
Zerozerozero
